My poor cat is sick and has a surgery in two days. Made me want to draw a sick picture.

I left a bit of a mess but I’m really liking the picture.

I’m thinking that back to the old days and a lot more colour sometimes can be a good idea.
Oh and this still reaaaalllyyy needs to be worked on.

I’ve been having this dull feeling of terrible emptiness for a couple of days. I’ve been wanting to paint, wanting to draw something new, even go back to writing for some time but just nothing came out. I’d like to spend some more time outside but the weather’s being funny and switches from warm and springlike to chilly and rainy, so it’s a matter of luck to actually catch a good day.
Yet I’ve spent the past four or five hours on creating, removing, altering and finally sketching a new boy on a black and greyish panel. I’ve tried to make the sketch more accurate than usual, as I would with ink, even though it’s all gonna be painted over but I’m under the impression it sort of gives me better control of what I’m doing.
It still feels a bit strange to work on more than just one picture at the same time because ink used to be so quick that there was no need. Just mentioning to remind myself I have another painting to get back to shortly.
So here’s the boy, apparently just as blank as I.

So, the sun’s finally back up outside and I’m feeling way more motivated about work than I did during the past months of cold and utter darkness. It’s funny I just got me new work lamps and didn’t even need them yet because it’s so nice and bright in here all day.
Here’s what I’ve been up to this fine Thursday.

I’ve been so absorbed that I’ve not eaten, which seems pretty urgent now that I’ve stopped painting. Just a quick note, though, I’ve been informed my interview in dpi Magazine is coming out April 5th. You’d better start saving up.
